Australian Consumer Law Requirements

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

You are entitled to a refund or replacement when goods have a major fault. If a fault does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have the issue rectified within a reasonable time. If it is not repaired in that time, you may choose a refund for the goods or cancel the service contract and receive a refund for any unused portion.

You may also be entitled to compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage resulting from a failure of the goods or services.

In addition to your rights under the ACL, the following 12-month limited jewellery warranty applies.

12-Month Limited Jewellery Warranty

All jewellery purchased through Jewels for Generosity includes a 12-month limited warranty covering the quality and workmanship of the piece from the date of purchase.

This warranty is valid only where the jewellery is assessed by our independent jewellers and found to have a manufacturing defect. Jewellery is delicate by nature and must be worn with care.

How to make a warranty claim

Please contact us to arrange an assessment by a qualified jeweller.
You must provide proof of purchase and your Jewels for Generosity receipt within 12 months of the purchase date.

Repairs, replacements and major failures

If your jewellery requires repair or replacement, or has suffered a major failure, please contact Jewels for Generosity to begin the warranty process.
You will need to return the item to us and are initially responsible for shipping costs. However, under the ACL, you are entitled to reimbursement of any reasonably foreseeable expenses, including the cost of returning the item, where a major fault or manufacturing defect is confirmed.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, mistreatment, or general wear and tear.
If a qualified jeweller determines that the jewellery is not of acceptable quality due to a manufacturing issue, we will provide a refund, exchange, or repair in line with ACL requirements.

Nothing in this warranty is intended to limit or exclude your rights under the ACL or the Competition and Consumer Act 2010.

Replacement of Valuations

If your jewellery valuation certificate is lost, stolen, or damaged, a replacement can be issued upon presentation of proof of purchase.
A $85 reprint fee applies before the original valuer is contacted to produce the replacement.
